Professional Scope
What We Do Directly, and What Requires a Licensed Sign-Off
5th Quadrant is a finance, compliance-management, controls and advisory firm — not a Chartered Accountancy or Company Secretarial practice. This page sets out that boundary explicitly.

Finance operations vs. statutory attestation
Most of what appears on our service pages — preparing books, reconciling data, building reports, designing controls, managing a compliance calendar — is finance and compliance operations work. It does not require a professional licence to perform, and 5th Quadrant delivers it directly. Statutory attestation — an independent audit opinion, a prescribed certificate, a statutory valuation, a legal opinion — is a different category of work, restricted by law to specifically licensed or accredited professionals, and performed independently of our operating role.

Our affiliation with MVR & Co.
Where an engagement requires a practising Chartered Accountant's independent review and signature — a statutory audit, a tax-audit report, a certification such as Form 15CB, or a similar restricted output — 5th Quadrant coordinates that work with MVR & Co., our affiliated firm of practising Chartered Accountants, or with another appropriately licensed professional you already work with. MVR & Co. reviews and signs its own work independently; 5th Quadrant does not issue certifications on MVR & Co.'s behalf, and MVR & Co. is not itself a party to our non-restricted advisory and operations engagements.
No rubber-stamp certification
Any professional we coordinate — whether for a tax audit, a secretarial certification, a statutory valuation or an ESG assurance engagement — reviews the underlying work independently before signing it. We do not present our preparation work as if it were already certified, and we do not ask a coordinating professional to certify work they haven't reviewed.
BRSR, ISO and LEED: preparation vs. certification
For BRSR, we prepare disclosures, data and evidence and support reporting readiness — independent BRSR or ESG assurance is a separate engagement performed by a qualified, independent assurance provider. For ISO 14001 and LEED, we support readiness, documentation and implementation — the certification itself is issued only by the relevant accredited certification body, not by 5th Quadrant.
5th Quadrant Consulting provides finance, accounting, compliance-management, internal-control, strategy, SEZ and foreign-trade advisory, sustainability and implementation-support services. Certain audits, certifications, assurance engagements, valuations, legal opinions, statutory attestations and representations may be performed only by professionals or bodies authorised under applicable law or standards. Where required, such professionals — including MVR & Co. — are independently appointed or engaged for the restricted scope. Information on this website is general in nature and should not be treated as legal, tax, investment or transaction-specific regulatory advice; it does not account for your organisation's specific facts, which should be reviewed directly with us and, where relevant, with your licensed professional.
